Caterina Maioli
Master fabric dyer

Caterina Maioli has a degree in Natural Sciences from the University of Milan and she has taught sciences first in Italy and then in Mexico, where she moved for a fellowship grant in Geomorphology at the UMSH University of Morelia.

It was in Mexico that she discovered the magical world of natural dyeing and learned the use of local dyeing plants with architect and master dyer Carlos Olvera.

After returning to Italy, she met Roberta Arcelloni with whom she created the Tessere Incontri association in 2013, a small laboratory-space where, in addition to experimenting with dyeing and weaving, it also hosts spinning, macramé, felt, basket-making courses and textile art therapy meetings.

Currently, she organizes the activities of the association and teaches natural dyeing and loom weaving.

I am very excited to be able to collaborate with Caterina on a series of textile workshops that are useful, educational, sustainable and enriching. I am looking forward to these events as Caterina´s skills can be learnt at any age and fabric dyeing can be a very relaxing form of art therapy.

Paolo Traverso
Musician – composer and multimedia artist

Paolo is one of the most multifaceted artists and musicians I know.
His creativity is palpable in every facet of his work: from visual art to music to manual crafts.

My collaboration with Paolo goes way back. I was first able to appreciate his talent as a musician in the events and concerts we have worked on together and recently our collaboration has expanded to computer programming and visual arts as I asked for his help to create and build my ISAEvents website.

Paolo plays several instruments and has even invented and built some. He has recorded several albums and has played at prestigious venues, such as the Quirinale (official residence of the President of the Italian Republic).
