ArtPara @ Milano-Cortina 2026

I am delighted to announce the opening of ArtPara – International Contemporary Art Exhibition, taking place in Milan from March 7 to 18, 2026, in conjunction with the Milano–Cortina Paralympic Games.

ArtPara is an international platform dedicated to contemporary art by artists with disabilities from all continents, with the aim of highlighting artistic quality, research and vision, beyond labels or definitions.

The exhibition will present works in painting, photography, digital and mixed media, bringing together over 100 artists within a curatorial project that places visual language, experience and expressive strength at its core.

The opening (by invitation only) will take place on March 7, 2026 in Milan, in the presence of artists, curators, cultural institutions and professionals from the contemporary art world.

In the coming weeks, I will be sharing updates on the programme, the selected artists and the cultural collaborations currently taking shape.

An Excursion Between Stone, Time, and Sky

A unique excursion exploring two extraordinary sites in western Liguria: the Grotte di Toirano and San Pietro above Boissano.

This experience is a journey through deep time and open landscapes. We begin underground, inside the Grotte di Toirano, where stalactites, stalagmites, and prehistoric traces tell a story thousands of years old. A place where geology, archaeology, and silence meet.

We then move upward, both physically and symbolically, to San Pietro sopra Boissano. From this ancient hilltop site, the view opens across the coast and the hinterland, offering space for reflection, fresh air, and a slower rhythm. Walking paths, history, and wide horizons create the perfect counterpoint to the intimacy of the caves.

This excursion is designed for those who enjoy:
• cultural and natural heritage
• gentle movement and mindful exploration
• authentic, lesser-known Ligurian landscapes
• shared experiences rooted in history and nature

A day to reconnect with the land, the body, and the long arc of human presence.

New Year’s Excursion to Rocca di Perti

Start the new year by slowing down, breathing deeply, and reconnecting with nature.

On 1 January 2026, we invite you to a rejuvenating excursion to Rocca di Perti, one of Liguria’s most evocative hilltop sites, suspended between sky, stone, and history. This gentle hike is designed as a symbolic and physical fresh start: moving the body, clearing the mind, and welcoming the year with intention.

The trail winds through Mediterranean vegetation, ancient paths, and panoramic viewpoints overlooking the Val Maremola. As we ascend toward the medieval ruins of Rocca di Perti, the landscape opens up—rock formations sculpted by time, wide horizons, and a profound sense of quiet that feels especially powerful on the first morning of the year.

The walk will be at a relaxed pace, suitable for anyone with a basic level of fitness. Along the way, we will pause to observe the landscape, breathe, and take in the atmosphere of this timeless place. At the top, the ruins offer the perfect setting for a short moment of reflection: leaving behind what no longer serves us and setting intentions for the year ahead.

This is not just a hike, but a ritual of renewal—combining movement, nature, history, and presence.

Why join this excursion

  • Begin the year in a healthy, mindful way
  • Enjoy fresh air and gentle physical activity
  • Discover a powerful and little-known historic site
  • Share a calm, uplifting experience with others

Practical notes

  • Comfortable hiking shoes recommended
  • Bring water and weather-appropriate clothing
  • Camera or notebook welcome for reflections

Step into 2026 grounded, energized, and inspired—one path, one breath, one step at a time.

Nakasendo Trail – Japan

Trekking along the Nakasendo Trail

Here are some pictures taken during our Nakasendo Trail Trek in March 2025. The Nakasendo Trail crosses several villages that were part of the post-town path which linked Tokyo to Kyoto during the Edo period. We started the trail in Nakatsugawa and finished in Narai. We walked from Nakatsugawa to Magome, then from Magome to Tsumago, from Tsumago we walked part of the was to Kiso-Fukushima and we took a local train for the last part, and finally we walked from Kiso-Fukushima to Narai. The temperature was still a bit chilly especially in the morning and on the mountain passes! The walk was pleasant and the villages very picturesque. The shops in all of the villages except in Kiso, which is more of a town than a village, close very early (around 16:00), therefore plan to arrive before 16:00 to be able to browse around the shops. Also, there are almost no restaurants in these villages, so it is wise to book dinner at the guest house where you are planning to spend the night to avoid going hungry.

Food heaven in Albania

The best food & wine experience in Albania

During a recent trip to Albania, I visited Agritourism Mrizi i Zanave, where Altin Prenga and his team keep alive the rich Albanian food and wine traditions. Altin relies on a community of local farmers to revitalize a gastronomic culture that was almost destroyed during the dictatorship. Altin has given back their roots to many people and his efforts are now paying as he’s gaining more and more international fame.

Mrizi i Zanave offers a panoramic restaurant serving excellent local food, indoor and outdoor reception areas, wine, cheese, meet, produce and jam production as well as sleeping facilities for families with kids.
